Voicemail FAQ

  • How can I retrieve my voice mail messages? You can retrieve voicemails from your mailbox by using your personal computer, or any computer connected to the internet. You can also have voicemail delivered to you as email messages. Depending on the plan you choose, you may also be able to check your voicemail from any phone by using a toll-free dial-in number.
  • How will I know that I’ve received a new voicemail message? When you have mail in your box, you can be notified via a number of methods. You may choose to receive text messages to your mobile phone, emails, or a pop-up on your personal computer, that is integrated with your answering service, and will show you who is leaving you a message as it’s happening.
  • How can I record greetings for my voicemail mailbox? You can either record your personal voicemail from your personal computer, any web-connected computer, or from any phone. Greetings can be limited to 30 seconds, or around 4 to 5 minutes, depending on which voicemail plan you purchase.
  • How long are messages kept in my mailbox? Typical voicemail systems will delete heard messages after 7 days; however with a professional plan upgrade, messages can be kept in the system for up to 14 days. Your voicemail box can hold anywhere from 30 to 100 messages, based on the plan you select.
  • What is the maximum duration for each voicemail message? Voicemail messages can range from 1 to 5 minutes, based on your monthly service plan.
  • How long does it take to activate? Your new voicemail system can be activated right away! Service begins almost immediately following your sign-up. You will receive your voicemail number and access code via email. Simply record your greeting, and voila – your mailbox is ready to accept messages.
